MICHAEL C BROWN
Michael was raised in the Skagit Valley, a farming community in Washington State. Often using a camera phone as a primary recording device, Michael Christopher Brown’s current work explores ethical distance and the iconography of warfare. In 2011, he documented the Libyan revolution using a camera phone. The images which featured in his book Libyan Sugar, were also the subject of 2012 HBO documentary “Witness: Libya”.
Represented by Magnum, he has also contributed several adventure stories to the National Geographic Magazine.
