ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
Every photographer dreams of publishing his or her photo book. But it is a difficult task. Finding a subject, photographing it well, editing the images, sequencing the pictures, design and typography, raising funds, printing, distributing and finally making people buy! The steps in making and publishing a book are many. Mahesh Bhat, has self published two books and is working on the third. His books – Unsung and Bengaluru/Bangalore-In First Person Singular have sold about 9000 copies in total. In this seminar (workshop), he will explain his journey and give an overview of making photographic books.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTER
Mahesh Bhat has been photographing the life and times of his country and parts of the sub continent for the last 25 years and has been commissioned by publications as varied as New York Times to Newsweek of Japan – from over 20 countries.
While his personal favourite is to work on long term projects, Mahesh also does a lot of corporate photography and is an assignment photographer with Getty Images and represented by Global Photo Associates NYC.
Currently, Mahesh is the Head of Photography at The One School Goa.
